John C. Hadjipateras & Sons Ltd. provides a full range of commercial and technical services to principals worldwide. Our expert and highly professional team leverages decades of experience in supporting dry bulk shipowners, operators, brokers and charterers in getting the most value out of their shipping interests.
Reliable networks
Drawing upon strong networks across the maritime community and our reputation as honest and reliable partners, we are able to deliver significant value for our principals. We always run an efficient ship, ensuring the highest levels of safety and security whilst carefully managing all operating costs. This provides a high level of quality, both for vessels’ owners and for charterers.
Stringent safety management system
Our own Safety Management System, incorporating our Safety and Environmental Protection Policy, was developed in-house by our experienced team of operations and technical personnel, in close cooperation with on board Masters and officers. We are proud of our exemplary audit record and continue to review and adapt our system to improve all aspects of safety management, in full compliance with IMO’s International Safety Management (ISM) code, the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) code and the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).
Leveraging decades of experience, we provide a full range of commercial and technical shipmanagement services to principals worldwide.
Assured compliance
We ensure that vessels are always compliant with all industry, national Flag State and international regulations as well as all relevant local and port requirements. As a result of careful technical management through a preventative maintenance schedule and the appointment of trusted and loyal crew, we have maintained excellent Port State Control and Flag State Inspection records for all managed vessels.
Industry engagement
We have established several strong relationships with Baltic Exchange members and partner organisations, from insurance providers to shipyards, which have lasted for many years.
We are members of the Baltic Exchange, and have been since our inception, and serve on the Baltic Exchange Membership Council. We are members of the London-based Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee (GSCC) and have served on the GSCC Council for many decades. We also presently serve on Lloyd’s Register’s Technical Committee and UK Marine Advisory Committee.
Through our longstanding cooperation with Archipelago Shipping S.A., we have close ties with the Union of Greek Shipowners and the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, as well as the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA), of which Archipelago Shipping is a founding member.
Community engagement
As a family-owned company, we take our commitment to the wider community very seriously. All Directors, past and present, have held seats on numerous charitable committees, giving both their time and counsel to social causes.
